Congratulations to Kilkenny junior, Eoin McGovern, who had outstanding victories in the recent Irish Junior Open Boys Under 14 Singles and Doubles at Fitzwilliam. Eoin didn’t drop a set on his way to the singles final which he won by defeating Colin MacNamara 6-2, 6-3. He then teamed up with David Gardiner to win the Boys Under 14 doubles final 6-4, 6-1. Well done Eoin.

 

This year’s Senior Club Championships will be taking place from 16th Sept to 25th September. It is again most kindly sponsored by Hibernian City Bar and Grill. The competition will consist of Grades 1 to 7 (Premier, A, B, C and D) in singles, doubles and mixed events. Junior members may play in grades 1/2/3 (Premier) only. 

Play will commence Thurs 16th September when all grades must be available to play. Finals will be held on Saturday 25th September. Match schedules will be posted on the club website (www.kilkennytennisclub.com) and on the clubhouse notice board as soon as possible on the morning of each days play. It is the players responsibility to check their own times of play each day by checking the website, or by phoning the club (087 8645165).
